Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Chill Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
2 cups water
2-inch piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
2–3 tablespoons Bea Raw Honey
Juice of 1 lemon
Ice
Lemon slices and fresh mint, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, bring the water and sliced ginger to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 8–10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and let cool for about 5 minutes.
Strain out the ginger and stir in the honey until dissolved.
Add the fresh lemon juice and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until well chilled.
Fill two glasses with ice and pour the tea over top.
Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint, if desired, and enjoy.
Bea Tip
For a sparkling version, replace half of the chilled tea with sparkling water just before serving. You can also add a few fresh berries or cucumber slices for a refreshing seasonal twist.
Storage
Store the tea in a sealed pitcher or jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before serving, as the honey may naturally settle over time.
