Meet Bea

Where our story begins.

If you had the chance to meet Bea, you’d quickly discover her contagious sense of humor, endless spunk, and the kind of hospitality that made everyone feel at home.

Her door was always open for tea and gingersnaps, and somehow your visit was never rushed (and never long enough for her liking). She loved slow mornings with Grandpa Bob’s homemade fig muffins and a cup of tea in bed, tending to her rose garden, gathering with family and friends, and finding ways to help anyone who needed it.

She believed in making the most of what you had, never wasting a thing, and eventually became known for baking treats with just a little less sugar to make them “healthier”…a decision her grandchildren didn’t always appreciate. (Sorry, Grandma.)

She was the kind of woman who moved to Virginia Beach in her 60s and promptly bought herself a boogie board.

More than anything, Bea made people feel loved, like family. Her home was a place where people could always land, whether they needed a cup of tea, a place to stay for the night, or a home for a season.

This is the namesake that inspires the work we do here.

Bea reminds us to slow down, gather around the table, and find joy in life’s simplest pleasures. Fittingly, the bees that produce our honey now live on the same land she once called home.

We hope she’d be proud.

And we hope every jar carries a little piece of the warmth she shared so freely.

Harvested Among Virginia Blooms

The story of our honey begins long before it reaches your table.

Throughout Virginia Beach, our bees move among coastal blooms, native plants, and seasonal flowers, including the landscapes surrounding First Landing State Park and other cherished corners of Coastal Virginia. Their work helps sustain the natural beauty around us while creating honey with a flavor that reflects the land itself.

Carefully harvested and left raw and unfiltered.
